What to expect from some types of alternative healing?

If you’ve never had any sort of energy work done before, then you may be in for a few surprises in terms of how your body is going to react.  Everyone is different so please don’t EXPECT anything just roll with it.

Your very first session

Be sure to come hydrated, but not so much so you will have to use the restroom during the session.

Dress comfortable (no restricting clothing) and plan to take off excessive amounts of jewelry.  Wedding rings or keepsakes are part of your energy so they are ok to stay on.

If this is your very first session, then don’t be surprised if you start feeling some detoxing or effects in the 24 to 48 hours beforehand.  

**When your body knows it is going to be able to clear its system energetically, it often start the process a little early.

Physical and Emotional Symptoms

You can expect the following physical symptoms before, during and after energy healing sessions:

  • Increased urination
  • Yawning
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Blurry vision
  • Your bowels moving
  • Passing wind or farting
  • Burping
  • Temporary fatigue
  • Your tummy bubbling
  • In extreme shifts, you may find yourself nauseous or vomitting as the energy leaves your system.  I can tell you this isn’t the norm for clients.
  • Sweating and night sweats
  • Period changes
  • Disruption in your sleep patterns
  • Mood swings
  • Vivid dreams
  • Dizziness

Why does this happen?

According to holistic and energy teachings, everything that happens or processes in your system needs to happen on the level of all your bodies. 

To keep it simple let’s just say there are four bodies: spiritual, mental, emotional and physical.

The last body to process any energetic change is your physical body. Most often, the final step is a diaphragm release to small intestine, which causes the tummy bubbling sound and effect.

From the small intestine, the old energy and beliefs are expelled from your system using normal excretory channels such as urination, defecation, sweating, your period, lymph and more.  Make sense?

THE KEY: Drink lots of water and replenish minerals that will be lost with urination and detoxing.

When your body is busy with this last layer of expulsion, it utilizes water to flush the toxins from your system.

It is important that you drink a lot of water before, during and after sessions. It will facilitate shifting more quickly and make it easier on your body, AND most of the above symptoms / side effects won’t happen when you are flushing properly.
